Should I pay to join an affiliate program?

Basic answer: No. If you have to pay to sell someone elses product then this smells like a scam. However, there are some high quality merchants that have a limited amount of slots for affiliates ( one of them used to be the domain name registrar, enom.com ), which may be worth while paying for.
